Afternoon Adventures

Adventuring with my boyfriend, Scott and our pup Baxley always makes for a good afternoon.  Here are some random snapshots from some of our adventure walks taken this past week.  

On another note, vacation starts Tuesday (as soon as I get off from work at 11am)! We will be in Michigan for Christmas; if only we had more than six days to enjoy our time with his wonderful family though.

Thank You Amazon.Com

Thanks to Amazon.com, for delivering my order earlier than expected! I received it last night, but didn't really get a chance to play around with it until this morning. Since figuring out how everything works (everything used lightly), I have been addicted to this program.  It is simply amazing. I definitely recommend this software to anyone that has a love for photography (even if it's not professional). Being able to take your own (or other's) family photos and edit right on the spot saves so much money.  So, hopefully I am able to get this "at-home" gig started sometime soon.  Now to just start building my portfolio...

Just one of the many photos I edited in Lightroom 3 today. More to come later! Oh, and because I was stuck on using this program...I did not get any baking done today. Must make up for that during my three-day weekend coming up! :)

Some Good Things

A quick post to vent my excitement on some good news lately.


+ Scott, my boyfriend, was offered a job yesterday with an advertising agency...and is getting close to a ten grand raise! I am so happy for him, being that he has been waiting patiently for this moment since after grad.  We are celebrating with dinner and drinks this weekend...now, where to dine?


+ I ordered Lightroom 3 on Amazon last week and will be receiving it tomorrow! I am quite thrilled to be able to play around and use this program, especially since I have been thinking about starting an at-home photography business (hopefully in the near future). We shall see, but I thankfully have several "clients" that have already confirmed their interest in getting me started!
